Job Highlights

This position will be responsible for the lab and worker safety in Wilmington (WIL), Delaware - USA

Develop the lab staff in Wilmington:

  • Propose and follow evolution plan for the lab in Wilmington (material and human)
  • Project / human / resource allocation
  • Responsible for developing the scientific expertise image of the lab

Manage lab activities 

  • Responsible to plan and follow the budget for Wilmington lab
  • Responsible to set and follow the key performance indicators (KPI) for the laboratory
  • Accountable for the KPI of Wilmington to reach the targets
  • Accountable with other labs for the whole Scientific Support & Development Department (SS&D) to succeed in achieving its KPI
  • Report to the manager (Head of SS&D) KPI, database

Project management:

  • Accountable for the completion of agreed upon deliverables for the projects in Wilmington project portfolio
  • Follow-up time allocation (material & human)
  • Identify & improve bottleneck in Wilmington processes 

Development of new products: 

  • Manage project managers
  • Organize the innovation process to identify and develop proof of concepts and new ideas

Scientific support: 

  • Develop Energy expertise through operator engagement process, in close relation with Tech Application Specialist (TAS) and Product Managers (PM)
  • Transfer Energy method to labs in other regions and troubleshoot when necessary
  • Involve the team in customer-facing activities as support to TAS and PM 


  • Master degree of Science (or equivalent)
  • Professional experience: 5 - 10 years
  • Technical expertise - ability to strategic thinking, weighing and judging of potential options
  • Human skills - ability to manage people, set priorities, delegate, negotiate.
  • Knowledge of relevant markets, i.e. animal health related activities, oxidation, energy, actives
  • Knowledge of lean or continuous improvement processes
