On January 31, 2025, LANXESS marked 20 years of company history - a perfect occasion to reflect on our journey so far. Where are our roots? Where are we today? And where is our path leading? Join us on a journey through two decades of innovation and growth.

What our name stands for

The name LANXESS - an artificial word derived from the French “lancer” “to move forward” and the English word “success” - both aptly describe the development of the Group.  
 
Being fast, agile, resilient! Focus on the essentials. Doing things better and better. For customers, employees, the environment and society as a whole.
A sense of mutual respect and mindfulness permeates our culture-in fact, it’s the key to our success.

From the very beginning, our claim “Energizing Chemistry” was more than just a slogan - it was a promise. We have made it our mission to be fast, agile, resilient and flexible and since then we demonstrated this commitment.
