Job Highlights

In this role, you will independently be responsible for the reporting of a legal entity including managing day-to-day accounting activities, monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing, audits and other local compliance.

Ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP (HGB) and internal guidelines. This includes the preparation, reconciliation and analysis of balance sheets and profit & loss statements on a monthly, quarterly, yearly or project base for both IFRS and local GAAP.

 

  • Responsible focal point for outsourced shared-service provider regarding transactional accounting: ensure delivery and execution of the finance actuals, closing and reporting activities for assigned entity
  • Evaluation of business transactions on recognition, valuation and reporting requirement (IFRS, German GAAP, German Tax GAAP)
  • Responsible for independent preparation of statutory financial statements according to German local GAAP (HGB) as well as for preparation of all accounting related statutory and legal reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Act as a primary contact for the legal entity under responsibility for corporate functions, business units, external auditors and other stakeholders.
  • Assist management with financial planning including presentations and other ad hoc analysis

Requirements

 

  • Degree in accounting
  • Several years of professional experience in an international company or audit firm
  • Well-founded knowledge in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and German GAAP (HGB)
  • Distinct understanding of business contexts with a high affinity for processes as well as goal and solution oriented skills based on practice
  • Very good analytical and conceptual skills
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills in German and English
  • Founded SAP-Knowledge 
  • High ability to work in an international team, commitment and resilience
