LANXESS UK is seeking a driven, proactive, and experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist / In-House Recruiter to join our EMEA Recruitment Team on an interim basis.
In this role, you will act as the primary recruitment expert for the UK while working closely with our colleagues in the Netherlands to deliver seamless, high-quality hiring support across both regions.
You will partner with HR and hiring managers across multiple sites and countries to understand business needs, shape hiring strategies, and guide recruitment activities from initial briefing through to onboarding. This is a hands-on, relationship-led role where your ability to build trust, influence decisions, and work flexibly in a changing environment will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities
• Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with hiring managers to ensure successful and timely placements
• Deeply understand role requirements and advise managers on shaping the ideal candidate profile
• Provide expert guidance to hiring managers and candidates throughout the full recruitment lifecycle, including onboarding
• Act as an internal head-hunter, using multiple sourcing channels to identify and engage talent proactively
• Manage external recruitment agencies and support local employer branding activities in alignment with global frameworks
• Support the rollout, adoption, and optimisation of our new ATS across the EMEA region
• Champion best practice, share knowledge, and contribute actively to the LANXESS global recruiting community
Experience / Skills
About You
• Significant in-house experience managing end-to-end recruitment
• Experience recruiting in the Dutch market highly desired
• Manufacturing sector hiring experience is advantageous
• Strong competency-based and behavioural interviewing skills, with experience assessing complex candidate profiles
• Exposure to ATS implementation or optimisation is a plus
• Hands-on and personable, thriving in a site-based (at least hybrid) working environment
• Comfortable operating without rigid processes — able to find solutions, adapt quickly, and adjust to changing requirements
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trust and credibility rapidly
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, thriving in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
• A collaborative team player who contributes to knowledge sharing
• Willingness to travel between UK sites to understand business needs and engage with stakeholders
