Job Highlights

 

  • Global responsibility for application technology and development for Business Segment Specialty Industrial Additives (SIA)
  • Lead the Global Center of Excellence laboratory for Business Segment SIA at site Mannheim
  • Key leadership team member to develop and implement a global growth strategy for Business Segment SIA
  • Drive development of new and improved product solutions in alignment with customer needs
  • Translate existing product technologies into adjacent market opportunities 
  • Accountable for global new process development, manufacturing support and raw material qualification
  • Own and manage the IP portfolio for Business Segment SIA

Requirements

 

  • PhD in tribology, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering or chemistry with at least 10 years of professional experience, preferably in the lubricant industry
  • More than 3 years of experience in leading a research & development laboratory team, preferably in an international environment
  • Strong track record of delivering new solutions and results via a customer-oriented approach
  • Professional experience in project and people management in global projects, preferably with experience in lean management
  • Excellent English and German language competency, with executive communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally
