As a Process Safety Engineer, you’re not sitting on the sidelines writing reports. You’re in the middle of operations, engineering, and projects, ensuring risks are understood, challenged, and mitigated before they become incidents.

You’ll work on a Seveso site where the chemistry is demanding, and the margin for error is small. That’s exactly why this role exists.

Job Highlights

• You own process safety across a full-scale chemical plant, not just a piece of it
• You lead risk analyses that actually influence decisions, not just tick a box
• You challenge designs, modifications and operations from a safety perspective
• You translate complex regulations into workable solutions on the shop floor
• You work closely with operators, engineers and project teams
• You step into shutdowns and projects where your input makes or breaks outcomes
• You spot patterns in incidents and data before others do
• You help shape how safety is done, not just how it is documented

Experience / Skills

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar
• Strong experience in process safety within chemical, petrochemical or  Seveso environments
• You’ve worked with HAZOP, SIL, ATEX and know what they mean in practice
• You’re comfortable leading or challenging risk assessments
• You understand how a plant actually runs, not just how it looks on paper
• You can push back when needed, and explain why
• You communicate easily in Dutch and English
• You work independently and don’t wait for someone to tell you where the risk is
