LANXESS UK is seeking a strong, motivated and talented individual for the position of:
HR Services Associate – 12 Months Fixed Term Contract (maternity cover)
Location: Manchester, Trafford Park, UK - Hybrid
Job Highlights
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide HR Services support to EMEA sites.
Main Responsibilities:
Administration of HR processes, including but not limited to: benefits, headcount reporting, time and attendance, HR system updates, personnel record filing, long service awards
Responsible for the on-boarding and probation process for new hires and exit process for leavers
Responsible for the training and support of HR applications: LMS, Talent Database, ESS/MSS
Providing advice to line managers and employees as appropriate
Participating in developing or updating HR programs, projects or business initiatives where required
Responsible for Payroll collation and submission for review with HR TL, and HR system updates: starters, leavers, promotions, amendments to contract, salary increases, allowance payments, bonus payments, personal detail changes, pension changes, private medical subscription, family leave
Maternity, Paternity, Adoption and Family leave processing and preparation of relevant documentation
Recording and monitoring absence, making recommendations to managers for referral of employees to Occupational Health
Provides back up payroll administration support to UK Payroll Specialist where required
Responsible for updating the document retrieval system in line with the Company Document Retention Policy
Staying updated on legal requirements through HR alerts and education
Comply with audit requirements from internal and external sources
Requirements
Bachelor’s/Master´s Degree preferred.
Fluent in English
2 years of equivalent experience in HR Services environment.
Proven ability to manage customer contacts in a fast paced environment.
Proven ability to adjust to constantly changing workloads.
Proven ability to follow existing process with high attention to detail.
Demonstrated self-starter and highly motivated with the ability to work independently and/or collaboratively.
Ability to learn new things quickly and easily to adapt to a change in a high growth environment.
Strong follow up skills to close out associate and management requests in a timely and accurate manner.
Demonstrated ability to maintain a high-level of confidentiality with sensitive personal and financial information and exercise exceptional discretion and independent judgment at all times.
Strong organizational, project, and time management.
Excellent interpersonal skills, team-oriented approach and ability to establish rapport and trust quickly.
Excellent written and oral communication skills necessary to effectively work with senior management.
Ability to work cooperatively with others, to be part of a team.
