Job Highlights

 

  • Leadership: Leading the Business Line “Polyols and Oxidation Products” with full Profit & Loss responsibility. The business line holds the entire function portfolio of the P&L; meaning Production, Marketing, Sales, Controlling, Supply Chain Management, Application and Product Development.
  • The Team: Demonstrate strong leadership in Safety, Business and Culture towards the global workforce of approx. 380 employees including talent management, performance evaluation and fostering a high performance culture.
  • Business Line Strategy: Define and execute commercial and technical strategies to increase profitability, ensure long-term competitiveness and drive growth in key markets, while aligning with corporate and business unit objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for the Business Line, representing our interests to various stakeholders including the Board of Management, public, press, politics, and unions.
  • Compliance and Safety: Demonstrate Safety and ensure global compliance across all business activities, while fostering a culture of high performance and manage through safety excellence, setting and maintaining high standards.

Requirements

 

  • Academic background: Owner of a relevant education enabling a general management role in the chemical field. Extensive experience in the chemical industry and a deep understanding of operational processes and/or marketing and sales channels are beneficial to the role.
  • Experienced Leader: Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully leading a chemical business, encompassing operations, marketing, and sales functions, with a strong entrepreneurial mindset and a keen focus on cost and profit optimization.
  • Analytical Skills: Possess excellent analytical and conceptual skills as well as robust project management experience to achieve business objectives and to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and leadership capabilities, capable of inspiring, motivating, and persuading diverse stakeholders toward common goals.​​​​​​
