Job Highlights

 

  • Join interactions of Corporate Development as strategy business partner to LANXESS business units MPP, F&F, and LPT in our consumer protection segments
  • Be involved in co-development of business unit and go-to-market strategies that drive organic growth ambitions in consumer markets
  • Take responsibility for analyses and workstreams on our strategy projects and interact with cross-functional project teams
  • Analyze supply and demand side of relevant consumers markets, dive into consumer trends, and crystallize business recommendations
  • Prepare regular communication and help managing senior management expectations along the project lifecycle

Skills / Requirements

 

  • Education: Advanced bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, economics, chemistry, or chemical engineering, preferably finance or strategy
  • majorAnalytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex market data and draw well-founded strategic conclusions for business decisions.
  • Tools: Excellent proficiency in Excel (or advanced data analytics software) for business cases and financial modeling, and in PowerPoint for professional management presentations.
  • M&A Knowledge: Basic understanding of company valuations (DCF, multiples) as well as an interest in strategic acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Language Skills: Business-fluent English for daily collaboration with international teams in a global corporate environment.
  • Practical Experience: Initial experience through internships in management consulting, investment banking, or another corporate strategy department.
  • Industry Interest: Enthusiasm for topics such as decarbonization, the circular economy, and technological innovations within the global chemical industry.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication skills to convey complex issues precisely and concisely, and the ability to work across disciplines.
